Why the Logan corridor is growing
Park Ridge sits inside one of South-East Queensland's busiest growth corridors. Logan was the fastest-growing local government area in Queensland in 2023/24, at 3.9 percent, with a population of 403,515 at 30 June 2025 and 132,383 local jobs in the year to June 2024. The Mount Lindesay Highway, the spine the suburb sits on, is being progressively upgraded to carry that growth.
The broader corridor is anchored by two of Australia's largest planned communities, both Priority Development Areas led by Economic Development Queensland:
- Greater Flagstone on Logan's western edge, planned for up to around 51,500 homes and 138,000 people over coming decades.
- Yarrabilba, a master-planned township planned for up to 20,000 dwellings and around 50,000 people, built for families with schools, a town centre and parks designed in from day one.

What Pearson Bros Homes sells in Park Ridge
Most builders in this corridor sell build-to-order house-and-land: two contracts, progress payments and a build wait. We do it differently. We develop and sell completed, turnkey homes, finished before they are listed and sold under a single contract of sale at a fixed price. You settle on a normal property timeline of about 30 to 60 days and move in or lease straight away, with no build risk in the transaction.
Every home is built to the NCC 7-Star energy standard. It carries a seven-year structural warranty under the QBCC Home Warranty Scheme and a 12-month post-handover maintenance period.
The completed-home structure suits owner-occupiers, first-home buyers, downsizers and investors alike. First-home buyers of new homes pay nil Queensland transfer (stamp) duty with no value cap on contracts dated from 1 May 2025, and may access the First Home Guarantee (5 percent deposit, no LMI) up to a $1,000,000 Greater Brisbane price cap with income tests removed from 1 October 2025. For contracts entered into from 1 August 2026, you must also be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or specified foreign retiree to claim the transfer duty concession. For SMSF buyers, a completed home is a cash-purchase option with a single contract of sale and no build risk inside the fund. Note new SMSF residential borrowing (LRBAs) is now legislated to end: the ban received royal assent on 26 June 2026 and commences on 10 August 2026, with existing arrangements and any contract exchanged before that date grandfathered, and commercial property excluded. Speak to your accountant.
